Warm Flow Yoga Classes

Heated to around 95* + humidity
(1 hour)

This class is a heated vinyasa style flow class designed to allow muscles to stretch deeper and help prevent injuries. Come build strength, increase balance & flexibility and lose the stress of the daily grind. Please bring a yoga mat, large towel to lie over your mat and water. Do not eat for at least 1 hour prior to class. This class is not recommended if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. If you are pregnant, check with your doctor prior to attending.

Hot Flow Yoga Classes

Heated to around 100* + humidity
(75 minutes)

Hot flow takes the yoga postures and vinyasa flows from the Warm Flow class and ups the ante! This class adds two additional flows and a few more strength and stretch poses. This class works the entire body, by incorporating strength, balance & flexibility. You will be completely drenched but feel energized, refreshed and revitalized when class is done. Please bring a yoga mat, large towel to lie over your mat and water. Do not eat for at least 1 hour prior to class. This class is not recommended if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. If you are pregnant, check with your doctor prior to attending.

Warm Flow Extended Yoga

Heated to around 95* + humidity
(75 minutes)

Our most popular class! It's the Hot Flow sequence with slightly cooler temperatures. Enjoy all the same benefits from both classes and get learn ways to deepen your practice. Please bring a yoga mat, large towel to lie over your mat and water. Do not eat for at least 1 hour prior to class. This class is not recommended if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure. If you are pregnant, check with your doctor prior to attending.

Restorative Yoga Classes

Room temperature
(1 hour)

Restorative yoga provides healing for the body and mind. The slow and gentle pace stimulates deep relaxation, helping to eliminate fatigue from stress and daily life. Props are used to support the body to nurture and heal. Breathing techniques will be introduced to help connect the breath with the mind & body and calm the spirit. This class is very low impact and appropriate for everyone!

Deep Stretch Yoga Classes

Deep Stretch is a 60 minute very gentle stretch + yin yoga class consisting of postures on the floor that are held for an extended period of time. Yin Yoga helps improve flexibility and uses longer holds to get beyond the muscle tissue into the connective tissue, the fascia of the body - it's a great class for men and perfect for athletes! Yin yoga is designed to literally open the body up, peeling away layers of stress, injury, and tension that reside within all of us.

Sculpt Yoga Classes

 
(1 hour)

60 minute sculpting class that will strengthen the entire body! The room is slightly heated. Items needed for the class are yoga mat, large towel, water and a light set of dumbbells.

26-and-2 Hot Yoga

Heated to around 100* + humidity
(90 minutes)

Advanced practitioners love this class!  Beginners are welcome, just know this is a challenging class, but rewarding to complete! Two breathing exercises open the respiratory system. 26 postures work the life systems of the body – cardiovascular, circulatory, immune, muscular, digestive, nervous, and skeletal. This class is not a flow class. Instead, brief moments of stillness separate the postures, giving the body and mind time to absorb the subtle changes this series brings about. Half the postures are done standing and half are on the floor, so bring a towel big enough to cover your mat. Do not eat for at least 1 hour prior to class. If you are pregnant, check with your doctor prior to attending and be sure to tell the instructor. Based on the hatha yoga series popularized by Bikram Choudhury.

Kula Yoga Classes

Kula is the word for family in Sanskrit. This class is not verbally cued, but an instructor will lead the class through the Lava Warm Flow series with only movement guidance. For those who know the Lava signature series well, we invite you to go through the sequence at your own pace and to feel empowered to add things in, take things out and truly make this yoga experience your own. This is heated to warm and music is up! We find this class to be very confidence building, contemplative and meditative.

Kundalini Yoga Classes

  
 

Kundalini is an ancient practice that uses various techniques to awaken dormant energy. Kundalini is known as the yoga of awareness. Classes incorporate meditation, movement, chanting, breath work and energy healing. The intention is to awaken energy that is dormant at the base of the spine, allowing the energy to flow. This practice has many benefits, as do all our classes, but what stands out is how it can strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, boost energy, improve immunity, calm the mind, increase self awareness and focus and improve memory.

Yin Yoga Classes

Practicing Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to the more physically challenging yang yoga practices we offer at Lava. Yin yoga is a meditative practice that focuses on opening myofascial tissues and promoting joint health through settling into postures that are held for time. This gentle, room-temperature practice helps us to balance our emotions, still our minds and open the deep connective tissue in our bodies. It allows the release of tension that can lead to dis-ease in our bodies and leaves us feeling relaxed, flexible and secure regardless of fitness level. Come discover how connecting with the subtle body in a supportive community can truly enhance your wellbeing!
