What do you love most about Yoga?

Yoga is such a powerful and inspiring workout both physically and mentally. It keeps me focused and gives me perspective. I love being part of the Lava Yoga community.

What's your yoga story? How did you start/evolve in your practice?

I took my first Hot Yoga class at Lava Yoga on it's Grand Opening Day in 2013. The heated room along with the supportive and encouraging instruction from Beth & Leigh was exactly what I needed for a powerful workout. I immediately became a hot yoga enthusiast!

To improve my yoga practice, I became certified in the YogaWorks 200 Hour Teacher Training Program offered at Lava Yoga. I learned a great deal and apply it to my daily yoga practice.

Best advice ever given?

"Yoga practice is like life. Each circumstance in which we find ourselves is like a pose. Some poses are hard to hold, others are pleasant. It is how we hold the pose that determines whether or not we will suffer or grow and whether or not we will listen to the drama of the ego or the wisdom of the spirit."
